Why an itinerary isn't a plan

An itinerary is a list of things you want to do. A plan is a structure that lets you do them.

The difference seems small, but it changes everything. An itinerary says 'Tuesday we're going to Kyoto'. A plan tells you what to book before you arrive, how much you'll spend, what time the train leaves, and what happens if it rains.

Most travel tools help you build the itinerary. Velora works on the other layer: turning the itinerary into something you can execute. Each activity has the tasks it needs, the estimated cost, and the context for the day it happens.
